has anyone ever actually seen the behr eurocolour stain in euro cherry that is supposed to match the adel brown? i went to home depot and they didn't even know behr had an assortment of interior stains. on the behr websight, all they have (that you can get to through navigation) is exterior/deck stain. a google hit got me to http://www.behr.com/behrx/act/view/p...s&catId=24
, but i still can't actually seem to find it anywhere...
has anyone here had good results with the other two options?
Hmmm....it's possible this information is from up to almost 2 years ago. You'd have to go back to the early THS threads and look for the information. I think it was in the first 10 threads, but I don't know exactly where. Wish I could be more helpful.
You can also take a door/drawer front to a specialty woodworking store, and they'll help you figure out the best combination of products to use to achieve your goals. Find the store manager and explain that you want to speak to the person who has the most knowledge about matching stains and veneers. Good luck, and let us know if you find another good match!

I found where you can get the Euro Cherry Behr Water Based Stain--- after searching the web and calling around. It is discontinued, however if you call Behr at (800) 854-0133 ext 3 you can ask for the Euro Cherry Stain #686 because they have so many quarts left. I just hung up with them and ordered 3 quarts. The customer service rep said they have 234 quarts left. It cost me approx. $35 with shipping for 3 quarts. I hope this helps...
The stain worked very well. We used it on all of our trim pieces and you can't tell the difference. Using 2 coats works better than one, but you can just do one if you want a lighter contrast.
