I want to get Ikea's sofa bed grankulla /massum. It's the cheapy bed chair. But I can't order the frame online and the stock at my store says they don't have it. Since it's a real chore to go to IKEA, I don't want go unless I can get what I want. How does a novice IKEA shopper handle these dilemmas? They appear to have the massum mattress part, but not the frame

Looks like the GRANKULLA frame will be out for another week or two.

There are a couple ways you can stay on top of the stock situation without actually going to the store: You can call the store. (And by "the store" I mean the physical store. Not the call center.) Also on IKEA | Home, IKEA, furniture, kitchens, appliances, sofas, beds, mattresses, tables, chairs, decorations you can check to see if a store has an item in stock. Now, I'll add a disclaimer to that: it's just a computer checking numbers. It will say "yes" whether the store has 1 or 1,000,000 of an item in stock. Before you hop in your car and make the drive, I suggest that you confirm with someone in the store that it's really there.

Thanks, Macks. This is very helpful information. Last time I was at the Seattle store for a beddinge which luckily was in stock, I saw a couple of things that I might have bought but they were out. I was very rattled by this experience.
