I am in the process of planning my kitchen using Rubrik green and I am hoping to use a frosted glass as the over the fan/microwave oven cabinet for 30" X 15", do you think if I can use a akurum horizontal glass cabinet in that section, thks

You can...I've seen it done before. You should be aware that you will be constantly cleaning it because of the steam and grease that tends to land there when you cook, and if you run ducting up through it, you might be able to see it somewhat through the glass...not the most attractive sight!

I am not sure if you could mount a microwave under that particular cabinet, though. I've only seen it with a fan.

Shouldn't be any issue with a combo unit. Only thing is that with the width being slightly more than 30", there will be a slight gap on the sides.

Structurally, there's no issue with using the horizontal cabinet above the space saver unit. But you both Eva and Narf raise valid points, though none is insurmountable.

Fillers can be used in the gaps, and if you are ducting the fan, it's possible to run that straight back from the unit and out the wall, if your building structure permits.
