Not having experience with the NORRSKEN system specifically, I can say that transformer problems in general are not end-user repairable, especially if you heard the pop. That usually means the internal fuse (or wiring) blew because of an overload, and although you might be able to replace the fuse, you'd have to fix the source of the overload as well. That is usually a breakdown in the wire insulation over time, usually from heat.
In the distant past, I have unwound transformers and rewired them, but that was for hobby electronics. For home electrical wiring that guests and family members may come into contact with? I would just buy a new one.
