It's at the end by the check out area. There's a big kitchen display in front of it (last time I was there at least). They're expanding the store so things may get moved around soon too.

riverview - it's out of commission until.... today, I think, due to the remodel. I was there on Friday and they said they'd be all moveed in to the new store by today.
We haven't been down there in a while but are they moving the whole store or expanding??? I can't imagine it much larger but assumed they were expanding, not moving into the other building.

They're expanding into the other building - basically they are taking over the old parking garage space, so I think it will be about 2 X's as large! The check-out is moving and returns and home delivery and furniture pickup will now all be located nearer the checkout stands. They are installing self-serve checkout stands as well.
When I was there on Friday the Ikean I spoke with told me that they were moving stuff into the new part of the store on Sunday night, and that the new As-Is section would be open Monday morning as well as the whole store.
I've been through similar retail remodels (I used to work in marketing at a major bank) and its amazing to see the moving process - usually everything is scheduled to the minute, with all employees given a specific task, and it's like a huge puzzle all going together in the course of a few hours.
I can't wait to see the new store - I'm tired of having to walk through all the construction to get to the entrance!
Should be fun, but I know I'll be grumbling about having to park a half-mile away! Next time I shop, I'll wear my pedometer and likely discover that Ikea shopping is good for me
Just when we figured out the shortcut into the Kitchens department... :?
I actually don't mind the walk, just all the slow walkers with their carts and strollers.

Yeah - don't you LOVE that shortcut????? As long as you don't run over any children checking into the ball room you can be in the kitchen department in under one minute!
Sounds like I had great timing. That was sarcasm. I hit IKEA on Saturday night, and of course, the AS-IS room was closed. Picked up some drawer fronts as color samples, and had to pay full price for every one. Oh, well.
