Re: Can Applad be painted?
Hi there! Applad is a painted finish, so it should take a coat of paint if you wish in the future. Each door/drawer front would need to be prepped first: cleaned and lightly sanded, or prepped with liquid sander, then primed and painted. (You might be able to get away without the primer, but it depends on what color you want to put over the white, and primer will improve the paint's chances of sticking.)
As far as chipping, it's really very rare that folks have that problem. Benjamin Moore Simply White has been suggested as the best match. (I'm not sure which gloss would work best.)
