I have about a 5" gap between a base cabinet and my freestanding range. Since the plinth is about 4 1/4", I'm trying to figure out the best way to fill the gap. Would it look okay to use two strips of plinth with one cut down. Or do I need to consider using something other than plinth-- a door or cover panel maybe? The cabinets are hallarum brown, if that helps.
I'd probably use a cover panel. A cover panel for the 30" wall cabinet will probably be your cheapest route. You could also consider using the space for something productive, like storing cutting boards, or spices (although
IMO
it's too hot directly next to the range for spices). Rev-A-Shelf sells a 3" unit that installs between cabinets. Both Lee_A and Robin_G have installed them. Have a look at their progress
