Constructing the cabinets is really no different than putting together other IKEA pieces. The use the same kind of cam lock hardware as most of the other furniture.
Installing the cabinets in a kitchen is not difficult, but there are many, many other factors besides cabinet construction and install that would be involved in achieving a new, fiunctioning kitchen, and those things may or may not fall within the capability of the average
DIY
'er. Without knowing you or the specifics of your project, it would be impossible to say whether it's realistic for you to do the job yourself or not.
If your question is would you be able to assemble and install the cabinets yourself I would say yes, assuming you have the ability to use a level and some basic hand tools. Having a helper is more or less essential for installing upper cabinets, base cabinets you can probably manage alone.
There is plenty of friendly help here for the asking. Lots and lots of us have DIY'd our IKEA kitchens with great success!
