I'm trying to get a feel for how many sq inches of storage is provided by each drawer to see if I will be gaining or losing space...

On my 15" wide pantry, the inside drawer space is 19" x 11". You can put most of the drawers where you want, so depth can differ.

Don't forget that the drawers are full extension, so if you don't currently have that type you will gain more space than you realize simply because of the increase in accessible space.

Thanks for the info, ladies, I'll do the math.

What we currently have are 33"w shelves, 10" deep, 7 of them floor to ceiling, hiding behind sliding doors like they put on closets...stuff gets 'lost' frequently, falls off the shelves and jams the doors, or comes flying out at you when you open them...a pull-out pantry will be heavenly compared to the current state...
