I've heard of that- anything special, or just two sets overlapped in the middle??

we have a Cal King, the thing is gigantic, so most of the time there isn't even an overlap.

i hate it. but it's how dh grew up and to try to break that habit would be beyond impossible.... i think he lives it cause it makes it almost impossible to make the bed

Is a Cal King longer or wider than a King? I love our King. That sounds weird. I swear my fealty to the King. Long Live the King.

My DH's grandfather told us a King wasn't big enough- apparently he had a custom bed that was two doubles...BIG BED. He had 10 kids.

i think it's a bit longer, dh is 6'3" and wiggles a lot. he was an only child and i swear the lack of sharing translates for him in bed usage. i don't mind the size of the bed (it was mine already) i hate having separate blankets.

that is a big ole bed. did they all sleep in the bed with him?

You'd think. But I highly doubt it having known him. I never quite figured out how the sheets worked...

Our youngest comes to visit in the wee hours each am, and at some point wakes himself and us up screaming. It's disconcerting. On the other hand, I have NO PROBLEM getting to work very early now.

In Sweden, I believe it is the norm to have separate duvet covers, and everyone has a really precise way of making the bed. Very often the large beds can be separated if need be.

Kelly - I like how you put this under Healthy Lifestyles!

too funny.
ours come up to snuggle and sometimes play a little game of hide and seek... we're the romp around type family
course i also don't have to get up and put myself together for work in the morning, nobody cares if i flop around in sweats all the time

OMG! I would LOVE to have separate blankets from DH - he is such a blanket hog.
