Someone PM 'd me with a question about IKEA's menu (and other food) items and the availability of nutritional information. While I'm quite sure they have it available in the store, some of us like to plan ahead, or alternatively need to assess the damage once done.

Here's what I found:

Cinammon Bun - Serving Size 1/2 bun; Calories 200; Total Fat 7g; Carbs 31g; Protein 3g

Queens Blend Jam - Serving Size 2T; Calories 40; Total Fat 2g; Carbs 2g; Protein 0

Swedish Meatballs* - Serving Size 6 meatballs; Calories 210; Total Fat 13g; Carbs 9g; Protein 14g * I'd assume this is without gravy, but not sure.

Double Chocolate Crisps - Serving Size 1 piece; Calories 153; Total Fat 8g; Carbs 19g; Protein 2g

Swedish Lingonberry Preserves - Serving Size 1T; Calories 38; Total Fat 0g; Carbs 8g; Protein 0g

Anyone have any others to add to the list? Anyone want to write an article???

Thanks, Susan! I actually asked for this info a couple of days ago in the store and they pointed me to a binder on the wall. The binder was not very helpful. It has ingredient lists for a few of the prepackaged things, and that's it! I've been doing weight watchers pretty successfully and really wanted to know what I'm eating, so I ended up just eating elsewhere. If others have the NI, that would be great!

I was at Schaumburg tonight and asked the guy at the restaurant checkout lane if he had nutritional info for the food they were selling (doing Weight Watchers, too!) and he pointed me to the women in the kitchen area, who had no idea why I'd be sent to them. Bottom line is that I didn't get info before they closed, and chose to eat elsewhere. What a pain! I miss the meatballs, but can't risk an accidental 20 point meal!

I believe I just googled various terms like IKEA nutritional information, IKEA calorie counts, IKEA food values, IKEA USDA and so forth. I just did it again to see what I got and I found a couple more:

Lant chips: Serving Size 1 small bag or 25 g; Calories 126; Total Fat 6.8g; Calories from Fat 10%; Total Carbs 13.8g; Dietary Fiber 1.0g; Protein 2.0g;

Annas Almond Cinnamon Thins: Serving Size 6 cookies; Calories 135; Calories from Fat 55; Total Fat 6g; Sat Fat 2.5g; Carbs 18g; Fiber less than 1g; Sugars 7g; Protein 2g

Licorice Boats (candy): Calories per ounce 94

Jelly Rats (candy): Calories per ounce 94

Marabou Milk Chocolate with Nuts: Calories per ounce 128

These are all items from the cafe rather than the restaurant, but that's all I can find right now...I'll see if we can get the info straight from the source.

The thing that's most annoying to me is that the cinnamon bun is 2 servings! This is something that drives me crazy about US nutrition facts. A bag of chips, 2.5 servings. Bottle of pop 2.5 servings. I wish they would force the companies to put the entire package nutrition facts.

In contrast, we just got back from Canada and on the Gatoraid bottle I got (~20oz), it listed the entire bottle for the nutritional facts.
