| Q: What Ikea pieces contain 1x2 pine?
I'm considering building a pine table using wood sourced entirely from current Ikea products that I deconstruct, and a tour through the store today didn't yield any obvious sources for a key element of the design: 1x2-inch boards. [1x2 is a standard, nominal size for lumber, and yeah, I could go to Home Depot and buy it, but it seems more interesting if I could get it all at Ikea instead.]
Does anyone know of Ikea pieces--shelves, kitchen elements, tables, chairs, benches, beds, desks, anything--that includes pieces of 1x2 pine at least 10-inches long?
For the tabletop, I'll probably use a new tabletop called Vika Furuskog, which is exactly 1" thick. I guess I could buy a few and cut them up into the 1x2 inch pieces I need, but that's a huge pain for a guy with no table saw in his NYC apartment.
[FYI, classic pieces like the Gorm shelves [5/8" x 3" or so] and Ivar shelves [1 1/2" x 2 1/2" or so] don't work.]
