I have a place I would lke to have something like expedit. I want more storage than the 2x4 but don't have enough room for the 4x4. Any way to hack a 3x4 or is there some solution ready made that's similar?
I watched this thread hoping for a revelation. But it never happened. So I'm now depending on you to break new ground. Go for it and post after pictures.
How about three of the new 1x5 Expedit side by side? Although slightly more expensive than a single 4x4, it's still hundreds less than the previous suggestion.
The sides of the Expedit are of honeycomb construction, so alas, it's not going to lend itself to easy hacking.
