Hi there- We want to turn the end wall cabinet so it is facing 90 degrees from all the other cabinets. I'm sure this has been done before so I thought I'd ask before I go make something out of glue & paper mache'. Turning the wall cabinet sideways means, of course, that the holes for the rails are now facing the neighboring cabinet, instead of the rail. Should I just drill holes in the side of the cabinet, get some longer screws, and call it good? Guessing I need to trim off the top & bottom of the back of the cabinet, maybe glue them to the side of the cabinet so the cabinet will sit vertical? Thanks for your help Ted

We have a 12" deep pantry that backs up to a 24" deep pantry so instead of fastening with a rail our installer used bolts. He drilled through the side of the big pantry at the attachment point, then used large fender washers to distribute the stress of the bolt. We're using the smaller pantry to hold canned goods and it is completely solid with this method of attachment.

Just attach a short piece of rail to the last cabinet and then attach the cabinet facing the other way.
