The plastic part that supports the upper tray in my corner unit (3/4 circle swing out fitting) has broken after only 1 month. Spoke to customer services who are sending me a new one ... but is there a more robust way of doing it? I want to store some reasonably heavy items (bags of flour, rice, pasta, etc.) on there, but not as much as I would if filling it with plates and cups.

Is this a common fault?

I got a replacement sent out very quickly (in fact they sent the whole carousel, not just the plastic bit I needed!). Someone I spoke to said it would support saucepans but probably was not strong enough for dense things like bags of flour, rice, etc. so I rearranged things and now use the corner unit for pans with no problem. Hope that's of some help to you.
