With heat and a putty or razor knife, the offending banding on the edges of the carcasses can be unglued, removed and replaced with something like wood banding, stained to match. Painting it is another popular option. Search the forums here and you will find lots of info.
I have dark doors with white carcasses and there's really only a couple of spots where that bit of white is noticeable enough to annoy me. My solution was a line of brown sharpie which needs to be refreshed every once in a while because it fades in sunlight.
