What to do with a KNAPPA flowering pendent lamp shade from the AS-IS and an older NOT floor lamp with a broken shade found at the curb-side?
Hybridize!
Basically, I cut out the rest of the metal shade, so all that's left is the bulb base up top. The clamping ring for the shade is large enough, though the base on this one isn't, so I used a ring from a spare Grono cord I had and wedged that on (a large washer would've worked too). The KNAPPA shade gets inverted, clamped on, and pedals reattached as designed with one exception - the top pedals are only attached to one peg on each side, since the angle is different now.
