Well actually it's easier than ever to share your plan now.
Either you email the plan to your friend and they use the link to view it, or post it on a website. If the person hasn't got the planner plugin they will be prompted about it and after downloading it opens up.
When it comes to showing a picture this is possible as well, however the picture is pretty smal at the moment.
Here you see how it looks when you save your drawing:
The small preview that you see here is actually stored online as well. Just right click, choose properties and copy the adress of the picture.
For my drawing the adress is:
http://kitchenplanner.ikea.com/DK/Im...4b886a4e7e.jpg
If you click on this the preview should show up as well.
You could then post it as a picture here in the forums and just state that adress as the picture adress.
Also the email that is sent contains a preview that actually is bigger, see example below:
