| Re: Draper, UT USA I'll be going back soon and will pay more attention to specifics, but I have no complaints about my first visit. I bought most of an Adel MB kitchen, and pretty much knew (because of this site!) what I wanted, so my Ikean didn't contribute much. He was very nice, very quick, printed out a nice draft order for me and told me what I needed for a cover panel at the dishwasher end of my counter run. When my husband balked and moaned at the idea of a 45 minute wait while the order was picked, the Ikean in the order-picking area offered us dinner vouchers. Very nice, and appreciated, though we didn't take him up on it, since SLC has a great Himalayan restaurant my husband was holding out for. I headed for As Is, and said husband must've looked pitiful, because when I got back in, maybe, 15 minutes, the order was ready. That was spectacular! We smiled happily through our naan and chicken tikka.
That said, the store was also spectacular in the chaos and decibels department. I'd say no one ever uses Smal Land, or curbs their kids. I think we were there on a Thursday afternoon, so it must reach the incredible mark on weekends. Other than that, my overall impression was very positive. Everything seemed to work the way it should; everyone was nice and helpful. I'd been to San Diego Ikea a month or so before, and other than Draper being newer and fresher, the two seemed pretty indistinguishable.
Here's an unsolicited plug for Himalayan Kitchen in downtown Salt Lake: If you go to Draper, you might want to stop there for dinner, if you aren't a Swedish meatball fan. Say hi to Rabi and ask him to play his own cd. Fabulous food and fun ambiance.
