Greetings, Everyone - I have designed and installed 3 kitchens over the last 6 years: one for myself, one for our work kitchen, and one for a friend. I just found the site as I was looking for some installation intructions. Thank you for having them!
I have also purchased and installed many other furniture items, including the Effektiv office series, Billy bookcases, you name it, I may know about it. Love, love, love Ikea!!

hi there - thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to reading your blog and getting to know you. I live in Santa Cruz, CA with my husband and 2 cats.
As for Ikea-related news, my husband just installed Rationell door dampers to our wall and base cabinet doors. I love being able to upgrade/retrofit our installed items as Ikea adds improvements!

Yup!

The great thing is that we get access to those kind of upgrades soooooooo much cheaper than the full retail price for things like the comparable regular Blum hinges.

I'm still drooling over the *someday* fridge/dishwasher drawers. Those are so going to be in our eventual kitchen!

Welcome to the group of crazy folk! When we went to the Conshohocken for an IKEAFANS get together, the PR rep at the store had a section of the restaurant taped off with bright yellow "Caution!" tape, so obviously they think we're nuts too.
