Hello from Berlin, Germany

Hi,
I'm a newbie from Berlin! I've been an IKEA fan ever since my flatmate and I, students at the time, furnished our first apartment. Plus I like Scandinavian design, having spent my 16 of my summers so far in Sweden...
So, today I own a lot of Billy book shelves (I'm a lit major), among other things, and my boyfriend also brought his share of IKEA furniture... At the moment we're looking at redecorating our bedroom, which is what brought me here.

Berlin has three IKEA stores - and will see a lot of me in the weeks to come!
best regards
Linnea

Hi Doreen, thanks for the welcome! Yeah, we Berliners are lucky ... The idea for the bedroom is to get rid of all the pine things we've had for ages , and ideally to buy something that goes beyond the usual mattress length of (I guess) 79 1/2 ''. Unfortunately, there're only two "oversized" products available at IKEA, the Malm and the Hemnes bed, both with certain shortcomings... so I'll go back to IKEA tomorrow and do some more testing..
