| Greetings from Atlanta
Hi, I am a 30 year old nursing student, navy veteran and reformed corporate networking geek (not there's anything wrong with it, just wasn't my cup of tea after several years.)
I married within the last few weeks, and am remodeling my house. I'd hoped to finish before the honeymoon, but instead she moved into a home with no kitchen. Finally got the base cabinets (AKURUM/Fagerland) installed so I can get silestone countertops templated. I should have the kitchen done by All Saints Day and hopefully the floors and walls refinished through out the house by Thanksgiving week.
I'm fairly handy, though mostly I build instruments. From junk. When I say from junk, I mean entire banjos entirely from whatever I could scrounge from Home Depot. Or a dobro from an old cigar box and a spun aluminum bowl a neighbor was throwing out. Meant to be art, but always playable. As soon as I have my house put back together I can open my workshop in the shed out back, as I have a 4 string contrabasso made from an old washtub that is only half completed.
After that, I'm thinking of making an electric guitar from a peice of that IKEA hardwood countertop. I was admiring it while waiting my turn for kitchen staff assistance the other night. I'm kind of excited about it, as winding guitar pickups will be a new experience for me.
Oh, I'm also perversely verbose.
