Hello from St. Louis, MO
Hello!

My wife and I had been looking at lots of things on the IKEA website as we were looking for ideas to redecorate our house. We found a few things we wanted to order, but after seeing the ridiculous shipping prices to ship them to St. Louis, decided to take a couple of days and hit Chicago and IKEA Bollingbrook. After being in the store for almost 5 hours, we had the cargo of our SUV chocked full of everything from furniture to pictures to lighting!! We're officially hooked. We hope they build a store here (there are rumors), but the 5 hour drive will not keep us away!!

Shipping prices can be a bit exorbitant at IKEA. I'm glad you were able to make the trip and thus have lots of stuff from IKEA in your home.

Rumor of IKEA.......here in St. Louis? Be still my heart!!

Try the Schaumburg store if you get to make a trip back to Chicago. It's much larger and not much further to drive.

Hi there. We're in St. Louis also. We visit relatives often near the Bolingrook store, but also found it worthwhile to go a few more miles to Schaumberg. It's amazing how much IKEA product can fit in our car! We love the IKEA light fixtures and furniture we bought for our last home, and are planning to renovate our current home (30 years old) with IKEA cabinetry and more. I've heard the rumors, too, that IKEA was considering building at Northwest Plaza, but I don't believe it. They'd fit in much better out in the Mills area, I think. Either way, it would save us some driving!

We're in St. Louis, also....but it didn't keep us from order an entire kitchen's worth of cabinetry from IKEA. Even with the shipping charges, we found the price to be competitive with local cabinets. It'd be great to have an IKEA closeby us, though! Stay warm and dry, Jennifer
