Mark Malkoff (comedian-film maker) will be living at the Paramus NJ store while his Long Island City apartment is fumigated.
He shot off emails to executives and they thought it would be a great idea. He will be filming his "stay" to be broadcast on YouTube.
Ikea will be giving him a living, office and bathroom area...400 square feet in total (larger than his own apartment).
All the food he can eat at the cafeteria with actual bathroom use. At night when Ikea shuts down, he will be editing his film and uploading it to his website.
We were there the other night and noticed the sign as you walk in announcing Ikeas newest resident...didnt think much of it until it made the front page of the Bergen Record today (sunday)
I am sure Ikea will be seeing much more traffic in the coming days....what a great move
