When the Northridge earthquake struck in '94 I thought we were goners. With luck, we physicaly survived the shaking, crashing and smashing going on around us, when the dust halfway settled and I grew the nerve to venture back into my small tract home the devastation was extreme, everything we owned shaken to pieces. Everything except for the three IKEA hutches in the kitchen. Oh, their contents were disgorged and thrashed on the floor but the hutches were great. These days we stretch rubberbands around the knob handles to keep them closed. I'm sure that'll work when "the big one" hits us.Anyways a new room addition is under way and the hutches will be moved from the kitchen into our new dining area. The kitchen will also be gutted and replaced with IKEA Cabinits. We almost completed our order last evening in Burbank but had to return home for last minute measurments. I am hoping my wife and I can tackle this job..I know I'm going to need all of your prayers and advice...we'll talk soon
