Hi, Everyone!
I love finding this site! We built a new house 4 years ago, and I'm FINALLY getting my sewing room (which up to this point was a workroom/painting/varnishing area). I have selected the Varde line, and will use free standing units for my cutting/pressing areas and build in my sewing area under the windows. Here's what this space looks like today...hopefully I'll get it painted in the next few days. I do have a problem though (about cutting off the legs to get the correct sewing height). I'll post that to the Got Questions forum. Glad to meet you all, I've read about quite a few of your projects!
I absolutely ADORE the VARDE stuff and I'm always on the verge of buying the multi-drawer piece to use in my studio, so I can't wait to see what you end up doing!
The multi-drawer piece will be my cutting table. I will have a cutting mat made to fit the top, and all those drawers will be great for scissors, rotary cutters, thread, etc. I'm SO excited-my husband wasn't too happy about the $$, but I told him that when we move, we get to take it with us, rather than spending $$ AGAIN in another house! (I am not attaching any of the pieces to the walls, they will all be "hung" like pictures) and my sewing counter will be free-standing as well. I'll post pictures when it's all done...
