AZMODLUVR here. aka Jon

found the site. Helped me cool down after finding out the Hallarum was discontinued. thanks for the info on the Door styles. Finally, talked to IKEA main number and confirmed Arlig MB for feb 1st. So the site has already added value to my remodel.

Have a Mid Century Mod Loft in Phoenix and am almost done with it. those Arilg doors will about finish it now. Am using them in my upstairs two bathrooms.

thanks to the site moderators and the folks who got this running!

Hello, I'm Bob I am living in central Florida (just north of Orlando). I bought a two story condo two years ago and have been re-modeling a room at a time. Everything is finished except for the kitchen.I recently ordered base and wall cabinets from,of course Ikea.Although there isn't an Ikea in Florida at the moment, I have shopped at Ikea for a number of years. After comparing cabinets and prices from local suppliers I decided to go with Ikea.I am awaiting delivery.

Welcome to the three new folks.

AZMOD: Some of us can definitely feel your pain on the Hallarum, but Arlig sure will save some money!

We look forward to helping all of you however we can, and hearing more about your projects!

Hi, what a brilliant idea this is! I got here through a link on eBay, someone selling a MALM bed.

I have been an IKEA fan for many years now and, as I can afford it, all my old furniture (mostly donations from relatives or what I ended up with from my marriage) is slowly being replaced with IKEA stuff. As I am on a limited budget I have been very lucky in finding a lot of the things I want on eBay, though I am getting very fed up with people flogging brand new IKEA things on eBay at inflated prices (IKEA staff take note!).

So far all the seating and the coffee table in the lounge are IKEA, my playroom is full of Trofast units and I have started putting these into my craft room along with my bargain 1mx2m birch tabletop (£5) on its folding legs and my Jerker computer desk. When I moved into my house in September (rented), although the kitchen was twice the size of my old one, it actually had less units so a quick trip to IKEA was called for and I now have one wall of White Applad units including two plinth drawers and for the first time ever I have enough storage in my kitchen! At the moment I am gradually changing the bedroom to the MALM birch finish furniture and have got the chests of drawers, bedside drawers and overbed table either on eBay or from the IKEA bargain bin. Just got the bed and wardrobes to find now!

Unfortunately I have to limit my visits to IKEA itself for several reasons: it is not that close and we have to go over a toll bridge to get there, my other half hates going as I am in there for so long but mainly because I go there to buy just one thing and end up with a trolley load!!!!

I look forward to looking around the site and getting to know you all.

Suzy

Welcome to IKEAFANS Suzy !! Glad you found us.... sounds like you're using IKEA products all over your house... I have the same problem when I go to IKEA ... I always end up walking out with more than just what is on my list! It's probably a good thing that my nearest IKEA is about a 2 hour drive ... I'd go there too often!

show us some photos....

Thanks Doreen, I have not been in my new place long so it's not fit to take photos yet! As soon as it is I will post some though. I do have IKEA all through my place though, I also have loads of LACK shelves and other accesories like lamps and CD racks too!

Hi,
My name is...fifty
and I am in the stages of trying to figure out what in the world to do with my kitchen
first, I need to know if ikea doors could be used on any cabinet box, because that would save me a whole lot of $ not to mention aggravation
I am hoping the answer is yes

welcome fifty... i would recommend starting a thread in design or questions or whichever forum you think suits your needs. You'll get a lot (A LOT) more traffic and answers than you will in here.
