I would have posted this in the got questions forum, but for some reason the "New Thread" button does not show there for me.
Anyway, I'm somewhat worried about the Ikea galant because I have a lot of stuff. My current desk is housing...
4 x Iiyama E2607WSV 26" Monitors: 11kg each so, so 44kg
A /very/ heavy computer: Antec 1200 case (all steel) with 4 HDDs and a water cooling kit that has approx 2L of water in it, and a 480mm radiator
That's the main bulk of the weight, besides that it has lots of "smaller" things: printer, keyboard (as in, midi piano type keyboard), keyboard (computer), various gaming peripherals, and so on.
My current desk handles the weight absolutely fine. It has no problem taking all that load, and me standing on it to get at cables around the back (I've even been mean to it and jumped up and down on it, it's really, really sturdy, which is something I like).
However it's a bit on the small side for housing all that equipment, and it's very old now. So I'm looking to upgrade to something larger.
I've been looking at
this desk to replace it. However I wonder how sturdy it is (does it wobble?, I'd hate that. With my current desk you'd have to put a lot of effort to get any wobble at all out of it) and I've also read a story from someone who had the adjustable A-Frame legs fail after using a gaming steering wheel attached to it, and he suffered a lot of equipment damage, I'd hate for something like that to happen, as I have a lot of equipment that lives on this desk.
Besides that I've also heard that the T-Frame legs are stronger than the A-Frame legs, is this true?
Open to suggestions on other desks (especially if they are
larger, the bigger the better

)
