Re: 7000+ members!

Yes, Dulci - lucky for us, you were our 1000th member! And to think, you were so quiet for a while...

And the amazing thing is that the numbers just keep doubling...we were at 8000 on March 24th, and will likely hit 16,000 on the 5th or 6th of July - under 3 1/2 months. Membership has doubled every 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 months since October of 2005. Think we can hit 32,000 by mid October?

Re: 7000+ members!

Hi - Just joined tonight. Found IKEAFANS through Google when I was searching for info on the elusive Nexus brown/black cabinet doors... We're considering IKEA for our kitchen and are big-time fact-finders before every purchase, so this site seems like a great place to get started.

Re: 7000+ members!

Hi all! I've just joined today; I've shopped at IKEA for quite a few years at the Elizabeth, NJ store. We're thinking about redoing our 20+ year old kitchen and I found out about you from the folks over at ths.gardenweb. I'm looking forward to browsing the site and learning about kitchen planning.

Re: 7000+ members! -- I'm new to this... please help? Am I in the right place?

My intro to all you guys. Congrats, IKEA lovers! What a party I've been missing. Just heard about you guys and had to join. My sister found you after searching for IKEA instructions and we are hooked. We have a crew of folks named IKEAAnonymous (IA) and we support each other every other weekend by shopping in the College Park MD store. My sister is awaiting a store in Charleston, SC and is going through withdrawal since she moved from Los Angeles three weeks ago! Please pray for her.

Anyhoo... I'm embarking on a kitchen remodel for the first time in my life and know nothing about the process. The kitchen is tiny 10' x 6' which is peanuts compared to the photos I've seen. Those photos make me salivate... how beeauutiful. I too, want a funky, colorful IKEA kitchen! My first choice is Akurum with Abstrakt red. Too much red for a small kitchen, ya think? I love red! I went to IKEA on Monday to look for the billionth time and I like the cabinets around and over the fridge. That's my first 100% sure decision. I only have about 3.5' of working space. Opposite the fridge side of the room you will see the dishwasher, sink, stove and a 12" wide floor cabinet.

My best attempt at drawing my kitchen:

____________10'______________
l doorway base cabinet Fridge l
l l 7'
l dishwasher sink stove fl cab l
l l

Ideas or comments? Go away? Let me know, thanks!

ps-- I can barely follow all of the info and stuff on the site.. my eyes are going bonkers. If I'm in the wrong place, please let me know.

Hello! I am Rob from Manassas. I have a ton of Ikea stuff. Mysinge Sofas, Ingo tables, I got lamps, curtain rods, plants, a torch on my son's room and all kinds of other goodies...I love crawling around the as-is sections, and have found some good deals there. And I love the Ikea Meatballs and Lingonberries... Yummy...
