I posted to the wrong forum so here i go again... Hi there, I'm new to forums in general and definitely to remodeling. My husband and I are pleased to meet all of you and hope we can contribute at some point. I'm 60% sure I want to go with an Ikea kitchen but we're way too busy (& klutzy) to do the install ourselves, so i'm looking for an installer ... and relying on this great forum. Thanks, everybody.
Hmmm ... members list is "only" at 6485 right now ... but I did do my part in getting it up there, since I just joined yesterday.
As for a quick intro ... the fact that I pretty much know all the shortcuts throughout the Covina store pretty much confirms the fact that I prolly go there waaaaaay too often.
Most of the time, it's just for food and the AS-IS department, however. Occasionally, I end up giving my car a workout too.
FWIW, there was a 4th cart that day too. Somewhow, I managed to get it all fitted in my Volvo with the hatched closed, even. Took over an hour just to load up, though, and equally as long to unload.
Hi swy! You didn't post in the wrong place! I'm just waaaaay overdue in starting a new thread! Since we rolled over 7000 just a couple of days ago, it was suggested that I start a new thread.
Hi Narf! (I think) the members list reflects those members who are listed in the directory - this discludes some groups. If you check the bottom of the forum home page, you'll see the list of who's online....below that, you'll see the total members, plus the total number of posts/threads, etc.
Welcome to IKEAFANS! And thanks for your entry on Covina!
Just discovered this site while researching DIY kitchen remodeling.
We've remodeled a kitchen in California (west Los Angeles) in 2001 and now 1.5 years ago we moved to Maryland, where at the moment we're waiting to close settlement on a house that has a kitchen from 1971 that needs to be updated.
Not that its not livable, but when you've got the opportunity to make something your own and actually enjoy it for a few years before we need to move again...
Amazing to see 500/1000/2000 and now 7000 member postings!
Hi scooterdog and welcome to IKEAFANS! there's tons of information here - and people to answer pretty much any question you might have about remodeling and design. I am so happy I remodeled by kitchen ... and kick myself for putting it off for so long and not doing it earlier. I hated it ... now I love it! It's definitely mine!
