Hmmm...I have a theory: I think the IKEA kitchens, besides being aesthetically pleasing, also make great sense, in terms of price vs. quality. In addition to which, planning one is like putting together a giant puzzle with almost endless possibilities, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't 'nerds' love solving puzzles?

Oh, and in keeping with the current thread theme, here is our hound, with my daughter.

Martine

It's great to meet you all! I'm Debbie, elementary school librarian,53 yrs. old (still find that hard to believe),live in the woods of CT with accountant husband (retired from projects) and 21 yr. old daughter who trains horses and goes to college and Merlin the border collie. The 2 horses live in the barn next door.

I have that project ADD disease too Kathy....Have lots of great plans and ideas...don't execute them very timely. After kitchen remodel I have to finish reupholstering that chair I started last year.

I love HGTV, decorating magazines, trash to treasure forums (salvaged old doors, knobs, molding, windows from BIL old farmhouse...due to ADD they are all still in cellar)

House is a 1970's ranch that still had the harvest gold oven. Nearing the end of a Stat Yellow remodel and hope to have pics sometime soon.

Having problem adding pic of daughter and dog.

Everyone has been a tremendous help! Thanks.

Debbie

P.S. I should have let Merlin, the incredibly smart and energetic border collie, design and install the kitchen for me!

Ok, here's some pics of the progeny:

Our daughter at barely 3, looking all of 21.

Our 4 year old son, Acting Building Inspector.

I could post pics of Tigger, but then he'd have to kill me. You've probably seen his leg, arm and/or butt in pictures around the site. You'll never have seen me as I'm invisible.

Susan

Hi, I'm Sarah aged 34 and living in the UK (a little south of London). Newly married with one dog called Mollie. We've moved into our first house and are gradually doing it up room by room.

Here's Mollie. No, I'm not cruel, she just injured herself.....

Stacy,

Finish your taxes!!! You might get dinero back!

Martine,

Great looking pooch and kidlet! Also, your theory makes perfect sense as to why there's so many nerds (proud nerd here) on this site...

Susan,

Adorable kidlets! Hope you don't get the flu...again!

Sarah,

Mollie is adorable! I love the lampshade on the head! Cheyenne had one too recently...she stuck her paw over a fence and the German Shepherd on the other side tore her paw open. She found all kinds of ways to knock the shade to get at those stitches, but it finally healed!

Debbie,

Let's see Merlin!!! Preferebly in costume!

Maybe if my husband helps me, I can post a picture of our dog later. It's fun getting to know a little about every IKEA family!
