I see they are offering an induction cooktop in Europe and would love it if they would make it available to us across the pond.
It only has three burners but I never use all four anyway.
Does anyone have any idea if they are planning to bring it here and if so, when?
I had the Sears induction cooktop in my old house and now have gas and hate it. I would have never gone back to anything but induction if
it hadn't been a concern about the reliability of the Sears induction and the high cost of the other brands.
Induction is so clean and easy to cook on because it is so responsive and always faster and more efficient than gas.
My guess is that it's doubtful; induction never really caught on here, as there are limitations to what type of cookware can be used. Instead, we got a variety of the less efficient but more usable glass-ceramic smoothtops ...

I saw the same thing, and wondered about it too. Sigh... Induction finally seems to be gaining ground in the US: most of the major appliance manufacturers have induction cooktops now. I'm putting in induction in my upcoming IKEA kitchen.
One of the factors not often considered in induction is accessibility - it's MUCH safer for someone who's got limited mobility to reach across without getting burned.
Hampton - good to see you around again, and thanks for the hefty
