There's a 13.5 foot wall with a window in the middle, and all it has are linjar blue drawer cabinets with a cooktop at the far end. White quartz countertop, white walls. 6 million dollar question: would you get the black or white induction cooktop? The cooktop is GE Monogram 30" one. The black one has blue(!) circles around the rings, the white one has black controls.

I think I'd vote black...do you have pics somewhere? Forgive me - I've not been following along as closely as I should have been lately....

what color are your other appliances ???
with the info you've given I think I'd go with white - even though you have lots of white already ... my reason is that the black cooktop will be such a big contrast to all that blue and white ... do you have anything else that has black in it planned ????

Ah, when I speak in the present tense, I'm dreaming. I've got the draft order, about to place final order, but the kitchen is still a horrendous early 80s cream, brown, and floral hideousness. But here's a clip from the planner!

Dishwasher and fridge will be SS. Wall oven on opposite wall is SS with black glass; wine fridge is black with glass cover. Thanks for all the input!

How does the blue outline look with the Linjar blue? If it's perfectly matched, I would go black. If it's not an almost perfect to perfect match, then I would go white.

Your link to the "white" model (ZHU30RSMSS), is actually stainless steel metallic (model number ends in SS). I don't think the surface is white, but almost a mirror finish.



The black model (ZHU30RBMBB) doesn't have any outline:



Since your counters are white, and your dishwasher and fridge stainless steel, I would go for the stainless steel cooktop. Even if the blue circles are a perfect match to the Linjar Blue, it's a very dark color, and a light cooktop would look nicer IMHO.

The last photos I posted are still the current state. I decided to take some time off... couldn't relax at home because there was always something to do!

Ah, well, good luck to you, MiamiBeach. Your kitchen still looks stunning, and although you probably don't want too many blue kitchens around the country, I am at the other end of the East coast from you

In line with my worries that I'd messed or missed something else, I did find that I had included the wrong height fridge cabinet in my draft order, so I'm busy sorting that out. Funny that, because I'm rather anal in non-kitchen life. Anyway, I'm just about to place the final order - hurrah! I'd love to do the assembly and installation work too, but with 2 tinies and working full-time, someone else will get to do it. Sigh. Hubby is letting me revamp the guest bathroom instead, which is not quite the same.

I'll definitely get the SS cooktop - thank you all so much.
