Slide in range question

We installed our slide in range last night, but I am wondering if we did it correctly. How flush is the ceramic cooktop supposed to be with the counter? Ours is about a quarter inch off the granite. Is that right, or do we need to fix it?

Thanks!

Re: Slide in range question

Don't know if you figured out a solution for your range already...

If your cabinets are installed on the subfloor, and your range is sitting on tile or wood, then your range may never rest on the granite. However, there should be feet underneath the range that you can spin down tight against the range to lower it to the ground. If that doesn't work, you can try unscrewing the feet altogether and that might get you closer. Just be careful that you don't scratch your floor when you are sliding it in and out of the space. I placed a couple pieces of thin cardboad under the corners of mine in the event I pull it out in a few years when i've forgotten there are no legs underneath it anymore.

I've resigned myself to living with the 1/4" gap I have because there is no way to raise the granite or lower the range any further. When I have to replace it, I'm going to look for a range that possibly adjusts a little lower.
