I purchased an IKEA refrigerator, oven and microwave for a new house that is under construction. The electrician needs the installation manuals to put in the electrical correctly. The only problem is these appliances are currently in storage with no room to access/open them to find the owners manuals. Can these be found anywhere online? I've scoured the IKEA website with no luck.

Items in question are:

NUTID Fridge/Freezer Item #501.840.87
NUTID Oven Item #301.822.54
NUTID Microwave Oven Item #501.423.42

IKEA (and Whirlpool) certainly don't make this easy for anyone.

You can find the installation and owner's manuals for IKEA appliances at Whirlpool | Kitchen, Laundry & Home Appliances under their "Owner's Center". The problem is that Whirlpool's web site doesn't understand IKEA model numbers, and IKEA's web site doesn't list the Whirlpool model numbers.

I checked my web resources only to find:
"Welcome... Unfortunately Ikea has asked us to remove all of their guides ".

I have some guesses you might try at Whirlpool's web site:
Refrigerator: ID5HHEXTS01
Oven: IBS550PWW00
Microwave: IBMS1455WW0
but you'd have to carefully compare the manual to what you have to make sure they're correct. Probably the safest thing to do would be to call up the IKEA you purchased them from and ask them to give you the Whirlpool model numbers for each item - if necessary, they can look at the model label on the display item for the info.

If my "local" IKEA weren't 150 miles away, I'd go there in person and make a cross-reference and post it here - questions like these come up so often.

Thanks. It would seem the burden should be on IKEA to provide these resources rather than force the customer to do rebadging detective work. I've sent an email to their customer service - hopefully they'll be able to provide me with something.

IKEA doesn't keep the instruction manuals or installation manuals for any whirlpool product.

So you have to travel to the whirlpool website for the documentation.

I agree though, It sucks trying to find the whirlpool model number without the product.

I would suggest calling your local IKEA, they could probably give you the model numbers (I know there is a way)

Yes, IKEA has an interesting viewpoint on what customers want - between not providing detailed information on their website, and the attitude that customers enjoy driving hours to get to a store, it's sometimes more frustrating than rewarding to attempt an IKEA purchase!

If you are able to find the Whirlpool model numbers, could you please post them here, so that others searching might be able to find it?

I've called the store and they are researching it for me. We'll see if they can come up with anything.

I do think it's absurd that IKEA doesn't make its manuals available on the website. We're talking about significant items here, and items that require more than basic installation instructions. They should have owners manuals for all their appliances within easy reach on their website.

There might be contractual obligations why the manuals are not on the IKEA website.

The same reason why whirlpool is supposed to be contacted with problems with he appliance. They are the providing the warranty services , not IKEA. But thats all just a shot in the dark, I don't know for sure

But anyways I'll check next time I'm free for your manual, unless you already find it by then

	W definition W is a wall cabinet designation, as in W18, can be a stand-in for Wide, or when followed by a / stands for With.
