Question Where did you get your pendant lights?

I'm looking for some ideas on where to look for pendant lights to go above our peninsula.

So where did you find yours?

I'm looking for everything from funky to modern, really, because I'm not sure exactly what I want just yet. I do know that I don't want to spend a lot, though. I might just go with the inexpensive IKEA options for now, but I'd like to know what else is out there.

Thanks!!

Re: Where did you get your pendant lights?

Have you tried ylighting.com or lightinguniverse.com? There's also lightology.com, 100watt.net (or 100watt.com, I can't remember which), lumens.com, allmodernlighting.com, or formplusfunction.com. I bought from both formplusfunction and ylighting, with great success. Good luck! Have fun!

Schoolhouse Electric Co. is tops with me. Selection has a modern, retro vibe.

Re: Where did you get your pendant lights?

We did the inexpensive IKEA ones thinking we would switch htem out later....but we love them and get compliments on them. We chose ones that are adjustable so we change the alignment often.

Re: Where did you get your pendant lights?

We got the ones from Lowes with the interchangeable shades. Fairly inexpensive and lots of different looks. I think the brand was Portfolio.

Re: Where did you get your pendant lights?

I also got mine at Lowe's, but I didn't get their Portfolio brand, I used Tiella.

Check out this post for more details.

Re: Where did you get your pendant lights?

Great suggestions, everyone. I was at a restaurant a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with their pendants. I found them on one of the sites mentioned on this post. But sadly I think they'll increase our budget by way too much at $420 a pop. I'll just dream for now...

Here they are:

Re: Where did you get your pendant lights?

That's very cool. It looks like it's a bunch of little glass bottles with corks filled with a colored liquid and then strung with a wire around a bulb.

I bet if you were in a creative mood you could try to replicate. Craft stores have all sorts of glass bottles. Some wire (floral wire?), food coloring, water, and a cheap pendant from IKEA, and you might be able to come close.
