| Help! Bathroom Faucet - U.S. Water Supply
I know this topic has been covered somewhat in the past, but I was hoping there may be some new answers out there. I'm trying to install an Enskar faucet into an ikea cabinet and am stumped by the water feed pipes provided. They are 10mm in diameter and U.S. standard is 3/8" (9.525mm). Per Ikea, I should use 3/8" compression fittings to attach to the water supply valves, but I have no mathematical idea how one can fit something that is 9.525mm on top of something that is 10mm! We spent 2 hours last night trying to file down the faucet pipe to accept the compression fitting and its like Goldilocks and the Tree Bears! I know there is an elaborate work around suggested elsewhere online, but it just doesn't seem like an appropriate fix. Does anyone know what professionals are doing to get this sink in???????? Does anyone have a source for purchasing 10mm to 3/8" converters?
Thanks!
