I think Lee Valley carries the tip-out tray hardware for the sink-front mod. This is what I found on their website:

Looks like the Rev-a-shelf to me...can anyone confirm?
TIA

:aaagh!!!: :running away:

OK, I'm better now LOL That stinkin' tip out tray was the HARDEST part of the entire kitchen!

And yes, that's exactly the same as the Rev a Shelf one. I got mine at Home Depot for $11.

Yes, that's it. Tigger is intimately familiar with it. You should have heard the cursing....I heard new words that I'd never heard before.

A couple of things to remember:
  1. Don't install your sink first.
  2. Related: Make sure you'll have space between the edge of the sink bowl and the trays, or the whole thing will have been a waste of time and good curse words.
  3. Take the doors off the hinges (if you've already put them on).
  4. Remove small children and animals from the area, and ask any bystanders to wear earplugs.
  5. Invite your friend Gumby over to help.
Good luck!
Susan

Thanks for the fair warning, ladies...the cabinets aren't even installed yet, so we'll be working with no countertop or doors...might make it a bit easier

We'll check for the sink-to-front clearance...we went with the Emsen 1 1/2 bowl and have it here. I've never had these before, I just hate the look of the strainers, scrubbing sponge, etc. all hanging around out in the open. Are the tip-outs handy/good to have? Do you like yours?

I use them, they hold sponges, scrubbies, a small bar of hand soap and a couple of scrub brushes. Sometimes things fall out into the trash, though LOL

I love them! Probably my love for them is proportionate to the amount of work it was to put them in...I mean, it would really suck if Tigger went to all that trouble and I was like..."eh". I think they're great. I keep the sponge and a bottle brush in one, and the other one has my expensive hand cream. It also has a place to put my rings (if I took them off while washing), which might be helpful for some people. I think they're great! Quite a convenience, and I'm always enthusiastic about utilizing otherwise wasted space.

Hear, hear...when I visit DS on the jobsite on occasion, I am always stunned by the amount of wasted space in many of the layouts...

Thanks for the input ladies. DS and I are working on a solution to turn the two false drawer fronts into a solid single unit, so only two hinges will need to be installed.

Is your sink base 30" or 36"?

No, it has two...but you can get a 30" wide shallow drawer front separately. It's the drawer front from the bottom drawer of the 30" high oven cabinet. Don't know the part number off hand, but it is available!
