I'm trying to get the biggest sink possible into the 30" cabinet. I really like this large undermount sink:
SS508 Ticor Square Sink
Its overall width is 30-5/8" and the bowl size is 27-7/8".
It will be undermounted so is it possible to notch out the cabinet a bit to make this fit?
If so, could you give some directions on what is involved or point me to some place where I can get more info (still finding my way around this sight!)?

I would use a 36" base cabinet there- I would not try to notch out the cabinet- you could end up compromising the strength of the cabinet. I have a 30" sink in a 36" base and I think it looks great- and you get the bigger pullout space underneath- I have room for two garbage cans and cleaning supplies, even with a big disposal.

I too need to fit the largest undermount sink possible (single-bowl) in a 30" cabinet. My layout won't allow a larger cabinet. Anybody have success notching the cabinet and cramming a close to 30" sink in? If so what sink?

I haven't tried it myself, but there are other posts here that say the ss508 will work. The bowl is only 27-7/8" in, so I don't really see why it wouldn't. Kelly, I'm curious as to why you say it won't go?

mine is going to be a 24 inch cabinet and I was looking at a 20 inch sink and came across as 23 inch sink undermount...and they claim that it fits minimum a 24 inch cabinet. I ordered it online I hope that it fits!
they said it would....
now I am a bit frigtened....

I used this sink, Kingston Brass - Product detail for model KU311810BN, and I am so happy with this. I got the biggest and the deepest sink for my small kitchen. Gook luck!

Ooh, brushed nickel. I bet it looks gorgeous. Did you have to cut down the cabinet sides to make it fit?
