FILLING GAPS

Hello...I am sure this has been asked a million times so if you can send me to a past post I would be much appreciative. I am installing cabs on an L shape with a "dummy" cab, ie non functioning 24" in the corner. I will have a sink cabinet on the left side of the corner dummy cab and a 30" drawer cab to the right ....I will likely have to create at least one 2-3" gap so that the drawers open without hitting the 24" domsjo sink....I know I am supposed to cut a plinth down to the three inch size but how does one affix this to the cabinets?

THANK YOU.

Re: FILLING GAPS

Hi and welcome!

You would use L brackets attached to the side of the cabinet.

I've been blogged!
Re: FILLING GAPS

You can use "L" brackets, or you can also screw through the side of the cabinet and into your filler pieces.

In addition to allowing for clearing the sink (27" deep), you also need to be aware of a possible clash of handles from the sink cabinet doors opening towards the cabinet on the opposite side of the corner - this will depend on the depth and positioning of the handles. Just a head's up.
