I'm contemplating the EMSEN double bowl corner sink (without the drainer) to save counter space, but more important for us, to save precious under-the-counter space. Currently we have a corner area that is "dead space" and having the sink there would give us a lot more options.

Can folks who have one tell me whether or not they like it? It's a funky way to go and I'm all for innovative IKEA ideas, but with this kind of sink once we do it, we're pretty much stuck with it. We can't afford to try again if we don't like it. I cook a lot and since I'm going to the trouble of gutting and re-doing the kitchen, I want to make sure that I'm making functional choices.

Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated! Thank you!

IF you're talking about the "batwing" sink, you won't find too many fans around here. Moving the faucet between the two sinks causes splashing and sometimes flooding if you forget to turn the water off first LOL

Scroll down on this page and at the bottom you'll see links for "Similar Threads" which you can read. Do a search for "bat wing" as well, since that's what we sometimes call it.

There are other options for corner sinks besides this one, if you'll post your plan in a thread on Kitchen Planning we'll try to give you some options!

Eva is correct. I don't think there are too many fans of the batwing sink. However, the good news is that with some modification, you can get a normal sized sink in that corner. Take a look at my kitchen pics (to the right, under my screen name). You'll see that I have a corner sink. I am really, really happy with mine. It's a single sink that fits pretty much anything in there. You mentioned that you like to cook, so perhaps a single vs a double sink will make you happier.
