Hi John, welcome to IKEAFans!
I believe you mean the Domsjo sink; there are single and double versions of this apron-front sink. If you do a search for threads about DOMSJO (IKEA's name for those sinks) you'll find many reviews and discussions.
From what I've read, there has been some breakage before or during install but once it's installed, it's perfectly fine. Looks fantastic and it's a great bargain.

I've got the double Domsjo sink in my kitchen and it seems as solid as any sink I've owned. We did lose one during installation - the tile guy was fitting it to the counter, dropped it the last 1/2" and both back corners broke! But he replaced it and was extra careful with the second one which has been used in my kitchen for four months now.
I am careful about handling things like cast iron pans around it, but I have not had problems with chipping or scratching. Sure, it gets little marks from aluminum pans, but they clean up just fine.
The only part I really hate are all those little grooves at the back. I am short enough that reaching them is a pain. DH is supposed to wipe them out for me but doesn't unless I remind him.
I have the double Domsjo, and it's been installed for 9 months now. It's been very sturdy and easy to keep clean. When we got it, we were impressed by how solid and thick the fireclay actually is.
I would not drop a cast iron pot into it, but I have placed hot pans into it, filled it with 8 stoneware dishes, saucers, and cups then filled it with hot water, washed countless pans in it that bang the sides, and generally used and slightly abused it. It's held up fine!
My biggest issue has been that I have hard water, and the white sink bottom would get a little grungy looking with a peachy colored film. A little baking soda on a damp sponge cleans everything beautifully, and the surface isn't scratched by it at all. It also buffs out any marks made by aluminum or cast iron pans! So, now that is part of my nightly cleanup.
I've got the double domsjo and it's been in use now for close to 2 years (gosh... time really flies!!) I'll admit -- those groves at the back do get grimey and dirty ... I'm not super careful - in fact there's a toddler that comes to visit occasionally and he likes to drop things in the sink .. I've not had a single chip or scratch in the sink. It's a beauty and I love using it ... the sinks are big and deep and a super bargain!!!
