Hi...Im totally new to this great site and im completely overwhelmed with a full kitchen renovation project Ive taken on. I have a few questions which i hope some experienced ikea users will be able to answer for me.

1. The porclein Farm sink: does it chip? do you find that you have increased dish/glass breakage? I love the sink but should i use stainless im wondering.
2. Adel White Cabinets: the big dilemma this week was Adel Birch vs. Adel White. Im leaning toward the white but im worried about the idea of putting in all particle board cabinets vs. the solid wood birch cabs. Does anyone worry about this? Adel white users do you find that they are just as durable in a well used kitchen?
3. Design question: If i go with the Adel WHite, does the white farm sink still look good? They always show the white sink against the Birch color and its a nice contrast. Does the sink look as good against white cabintes?
4. does anyone have any photos of adel white kitchen with ceramic tile floors [as opposed to wood floors]

Thanks so much for any help. Its too late to turn back, my kitchen was completely gutted this week and the old stove and dishwasher [put out on the curb today] has already disappeared. meanwhile i havent yet ordered or even completely decided onANY of these issues [cabinets, counters, floors, OH MY!]

Hi!

Check my blog for pics of Adel white with the Domsjo sink. I thnk it is VERY nice.

The cab carcasses are all the same, just with a birch or white overlay. The doors are the difference: Adel birch is solid birch, while the white is thermofoil overlay. I have Adel white, and it is holding up beautifully after a year of use. Others on here will tell you the same, and the birch doors are also gorgeous. it is more about what you want your kitchen to look like.

I've had no chips in my Domsjo, and my DH is VERY hard on it! He keeps piling it full of camping pots and pans, and cast iron coooking equipment. No chips, no dins. A few scritches here and there, but they buff out with a little baking soda when I wash it.

If your photos are on Photobucket or something, we can help you post them! We want to see all the befores, it makes the "afters" so much more lovely .

I too have just in the finishing stages done Adel white with the white Domjso sink - I love it.

You can see a photo of the last kitchen I did in the fall in my gallery - sorry - no photos of tile as i have used wood in last kitchen and the one I am currently working on.

I love the Adel white doors - wipe off so easily and they are my favorite.

By the way - welcome to IkeaFans.

Mine's Abstrakt white with farm sink and tile floor - might give you an idea.
