kitchen faucet HELP!!!
was about to respond to my own post [i'm getting desparate] but instead i'll start a new one!
i'm still w/out a faucet & my counters are coming in the next week! have ruled out culinary types [my 1st choice] due to height & lack of pull out length but can't find one i'm loving that will work. the height from my counter to cabs is 20" which rules out quite a few. my kitchen is very contemporary .. stainless steel base cabs, abstrakt white & aviskt glass wall cabs, white zeus silestone counters & blanco zero radius sink [on the way].
i ordered the hansgrohe metro since i was running out of time, i like it just don't love it but it was a good price. http://www.efaucets.com/images/hansg...6697000-lg.jpg it came damaged which i'm taking as a sign that it wasn't my favorite.

Re: kitchen faucet HELP!!!
thx harpy-
i had seen the semplice & liked it but for some reason skipped over it.
i decided i needed to start all over & try to look at these w/ a fresh perspective. after focusing on faucets for weeks , i think i've confused myself & forgotten what i really like..... i just [after 2-3 hours] came up w/ 2 i hadn't looked at before... probably because i didn't want to go over $300-400 but now i'm feeling pressured.
franke ff-1600
rohl L57L
i really love the rohl but think it may be too much $$$!

Have you wandered through your local big box store (Home depot) or lowes for some ideas - that is where I found mine? I too was searching on line over and over again and by happen chance found it there for a sale price.

Re: kitchen faucet HELP!!!
i've been to home depot so many times it's embarrassing. that's where i found the kohler clairette [at great price] but they have a very limited selection in the nyc store & most everything is special order. you would think there would be so many places to look at faucets in nyc but there aren't which is why i'm going blind from searching online.
My family has this style. Something to think about: those little side handles for changing hot to cold are not intuitive if you're not used to them. Nor are they easy to manage with your elbow when your hands are covered in chicken germs or whatever! The height may also increase splashing. (I prefer a central single control. I think we have this one or something very close to it: Price Pfister Product Details - Parisa 1,2 or 3-Hole Kitchen - Pull-out (534-70SS)).

Re: kitchen faucet HELP!!!
i've had a side handle faucet for years & it's never been a problem. i was initially concerned about splashing but my new sink is 10" deep which i think should compensate for the height of the faucet.

Re: kitchen faucet HELP!!!
i was able to look at the franke 1600 this morning & i'm glad i did. the spray was way too small & difficult to use [no button to switch from spray to stream]. decided the rohl was more than i wanted to spend & after returning to my online browsing, came up w/ the hansgrohe axor citterio [about 20 minutes ago]. i had looked at it early on in my search & loved it but ruled it out due to price. i've since adjusted my range & the price has come down a bit. i quickly found the best price & it was in stock! it's modern, sleek, tall w/ a little flair [the handle]. i've done a 360 in terms of my faucet choices!!!
i just ordered it & due to the 30 day no restocking fee return policy, i can continue to make myself crazy if i choose to continue faucet searching!
