Hi,

I might be wrong, but as far as I can tell, the US Ikea does not offer the following in their RATIONELL line. I guess it is our solution for the Rev-a-shelf system that is sold there.

It is sold as 15 euros for the base with the sliders and then the trash bins come in 2 sizes, 11 & 15 liters, for 3.00 and 4.00 euros respectively. Granted, they come only in the rather garish blue, but they are handy.

I have that! Under the sink, the garish blue not so bothersome . However, they've changed the trashcans to a dark grey squarer version in the new online/catalog offerings.

I actually really like mine. I put recycling in the tall one, and the wet trash that needs to go out almost every day in the shorter one with a lid on it.

Honestly, we Americans love bigrefrigerators and big trashcans...I think that's why this isn't wildly popular in the US market.

Lisa,
Now that you mention it, I saw the grey on my Ikea site but I wasn't sure if it worked in the same system....hmm. Now I know. Here, our trash comes twice a week and we recycle a lot. Each house has 3 enormous trash bins in which to sort our garbage for the various collections. Now if only Ikea made something to hide those in the driveway....
