I'm looking for advice, but also just putting this out there for others because it's kind of disheartening.
Got the Domsjo double bowl farm sink a month ago. Opened it up in the parking lot at Ikea and it was broken. Had to wait in line an hour to replace. Noticed last night that the bowl with the disposal in it now has a crack along the bottom edge.
It's very possible that I didn't align the disposal perfectly, etc., but I've never seen such a fragile sink before -- which I think may explain why it's so cheap$$ when you compare it to all the other apron front double bowl sinks out there.
Just disappointed. Now I have to take it out, make the trek back to the store, try to exchange it, then reinstall.
I don't have a disposal - but I haven't had any problems with my domsjo ... it still looks as nice as the day I took it out of the box. That is such a pain to have to remove, take back and get another one. I hope you have no troubles with the 2nd replacement sink.

In my experience Domsjo's are super fragile. I broke mine when a cutting board slipped and knocked the bottom of the sink. I'm guessing the material just isn't up to the task. I would take your sink back to IKEA ASAP and file a warranty claim. They wouldn't replace mine because there's an "impact" exclusion in the warrranty but you should have a case with craking. Good luck.
I just called about a crack in my domsjo and was informed that there is no warranty on ikea sinks. I was kind of floored - yes, the cabinets have a 25 year warranty and the sinks don't have one at all. They also said that if it did have a warranty that a crack would not be covered in it. Interesting.
