I am looking for a faucet with a separate handle and spray head. Any pointers on that would be great.
Also, I have a separate spray head now but I have to turn on the tap handle for the spray to work. Is there a spray that you can just press the it and it flows water without having to use the handle?
(Fingers crossed that this makes even a little bit of sense!)
The only faucet that I know of that can turn on (to spray if that was the last postition it was in) without touching the handle is the Delta Pilar (it also has a separate handle and spray head). It is a very cool, but pricey, faucet. You can turn it off and on just by touching the head or neck of the faucet. Check out the video on their site and you will be very intrigued as I am, I'm sure!
Ohhhh...that is nice! That's gorgeous and brilliant! $700 is very pricey though. Maybe I can squeeze some out of my budget somewhere. Do I really need a cooktop?
Thanks. That looks better! I hadn't thought about chrome or stainless. I have just looked at what I have now and it looks like the sink is stainless and the faucet is chrome. I had never really noticed before. But I don't like my kitchen now so I tend not to really pay attention.
What are the factors that people usually consider when making that decision.
Yes, Harpy, I believe you're right. But the awesome thing about this faucet is that you can just tap (with your wrist or your hand) it to turn it on and off. So you're doing the dishes and you want to minimize wasted water, you can just tap the faucet on and off as you need the flow of water or not.
Re: Stainless steel or chrome. Originally I was leaning towards the SS, but the price difference is ridiculous. If I was to get this faucet, I would choose chrome as the added value of the functionality would outweigh any decorative considerations about types of finishes.

I'm thinking the same as you. The functionality is amazing and would be absolutely perfect for me. The cost of the chrome is a lot for my budget but the benefits will be worth it. I'm going to go with a cheaper oven to accommodate it.
I'd be interested to know why people would choose SS. I suppose I'm finding it difficult to picture the real aesthetic difference. Just curious.
Another option, just for reference, would be a tapmaster, although that doesn't have the wow factor. But you can use it with any faucet, so as long as you get a faucet that remembers the setting you last used, that would do pretty much the same thing, although not as impressively.
And I think the Pilar is probably less money overall.
