| A nice faucet to match TAG handles
The kitchen sink faucet was installed today - replacing my much-hoped-for-but-ill-fated wall-mount one - and I'm really happy with how it echoes the TAG handles. It's a Price Pfister 534-70SS; cost about $180 at Home Depot.
Assuming I was having a wall-mount faucet, I didn't have the countertop people put in a hole for a faucet. Called to see if they would come and drill one, and they wanted $300 for it. (Simplicity countertop, a variant of Corian.) Called a handyman service and they said they couldn't do it at all because a special tool was required. Called another countertop place and the guy wondered why I was even calling because it was such a small job, but he would do it for $100. Did a little googling, and it turns out you can cut the stuff with a regular old hole saw on a drill. I checked with Dupont and they said it was fine, just use a sharp saw and go slow. It worked! Take that, Surface Technologies and your $300 hole!
