Yes, Susan, I think it was your picture I saw that made me want to put handles on the drawers. I'm just looking for something that won't look oops with everything else being lansa. Do you think I should just leave them off? Like I said, I need to borrow taste!

I don't know if it's too late, but I wanted to say there is no "right" place to put the handle on the pullout. I've seen them in several different locations. I'm short, so I didn't want mine high, and it is right next to the double oven, so I lined it up with the lower oven handle. It's a little above my waist, and my kids can reach it easily, so I'm happy with it there.

Can't help on the Perfect question. I don't have any of those.

Thanks KitchenMom, You guys would laugh, but I've currently have my handles screwed into wood shims and taped onto the cabinets with masking tape to see what I like best!

That's a great idea dede. I'll have to do that once I'm past the blue tape phase of the project. LOL

I prefer all Lansa handles to be placed horizontally. However, there is at least ones one situation that you can't place them horizontally.
This is when you use Ikea base corner cabinet 37"x37". Simply the handle is just too big and it would damage the second folding door (when fully opened) of the cabinet if placed horizontally.

Re: Lansa Handles

I'm a horizontal person myself. And before you ask, I'm pretty sure we'll do ours all centered - even on the doors. I'm a person who loves symmetry and balance, in addition to the calming effect of the horizontal line. We had knobs in our old house, but decided to go with Lansa pulls this time for the long term accessibility. (knobs aren't good for aging hands and even though we're only 30-something, we plan on being here until they wheel us out!)

Re: Lansa Handles

Hi everyone - since we're talkin' about Lansa handles, I'd like some feedback. I can't decide which size to use on my 36" and 30" base drawer cabs. I'm planning on using all smaller Lansa and all horizontal. I was thinking about just putting TWO Lansa handles on the big drawer cabs, basically so the horizontal Lansa handles are linearly symmetrical (the handles on the big drawers line up exactly with the handles on the little drawers above). Also so everything is uniform. But I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't use the big Lansa handles on the big drawers. That seems to be the way I see it in all pictures so I'm thinking there is a reason. Anyone have an opinion? I'm attaching images of the plan. Thanks!

Re: Lansa Handles

I have all mine horizontal (even on the uppers, which does present a few problems because you can't open the door all the way when it's up against a wall), and I have long ones on my deep drawers. Because the drawers are so big and because I usually only have one hand to use at a time (e.g. I'm grabbing dishes between my fingers and turning to open the drawer to put them away), it is so easy to grab the middle of the long bar.

I don't think you'll like having to use 2 hands any time you want to open up a deep drawer and I'm not sure how good it would be to open up the drawer by pulling only one side. Hope that makes sense.

Re: Lansa Handles - now Vinna!

I am also inclined to install all handles horisontally. However there is a new option - vinna handle. It is thinner and overall size is smaller. Unfortunately it only comes in 2 sizes - 5" & 13". Anybody has experience with these?

Re: Lansa Handles

Mine are all horizontal, as we have drawers in the base cabinets.

I was really po'd when I went to IKEA recently and noticed that they finally have wider handles. I was stuck with the two sizes they previously had.
