Rationell door damper too strong for door

I'm in the final stages of putting my kitchen together, and have come up against an unexpected problem.

The only door dampers that Ikea sell in Australia, are too strong for my doors. I haven't tried them on all doors, but on the Askvit aluminium frame glass doors with integrated hinges on my wall cabinets, as well as the 23" high Abstrakt doors on my 24" wide high cabinet with 125 degree integral hinges, the doors hit the damper - but don't have sufficient weight to softly close the rest of the way. They just stay open the last 1/2" from the cabinet. The integral hinge dampers look good and may be a solution, but they do not sell them in Australia for some reason.

I've tried adjusting the Rationell dampers, but they only roll back so far and the minimum suspension amount is still way too much for the door to close all the way.

Any suggestions?

1. Get the Integral dampers as original Blum 973A500:
Undies.net.au Blumotion Hinge Adapter (973A500.01)

2. Install the Rationell dampers on top closer to the hinge side.

3. For Avsikt doors get Blum 73T550AB

Can I take it that you are only having problems with your aluminium doors?

The original soft closers don't fit aluminium doors, but the new ones do, but as the door is lighter do not close all the way.

As far as I know they are not adjustable so I don't think there is an alternative available from IKEA.

Tux is correct, if you look closely at the instructions you'll see they show them located on the same side of the cupboard as the hinges. If you put them on the other side (like I did) it will not close.
